Regulan religion is both the religion of the Regulan people and the religion of the Regulan Empire. Thus it is quite expansive, incorporating many deities from many different cultures. However, all people of the empire were required to worship the twelve Olympians: Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Athena, Dionysus, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus and Hermes. Also they were required to participate in the Imperial Cult, which identified emperors and some members of their families with the divinely sanctioned authority of the state. Some emperors still have active cults today. Besides those two requirements, the people could worship whomever they wished. After the demise of the empire, the College of Pontiffs have helped to keep the Regulan Religion intact, but in distant lands unorthodoxies and foreign elements have crept in. In the modern cult, there has been a trend towards cracking down on such things more than was actually done during the Empire.
